Our top 4 things to do in Shropshire for Father's Day!

So this weekend is Father's Day! If you haven't already made plans, we've picked our favourite events that are happening over the weekend that we think your dad will love...

If he's fond of countryside pursuits, take him along to Hawkstone Park Follies on Sunday for an action packed day of events, including an archery competition, segway experience and a 4x4 off-road taster day. The park is open as normal for you and your Dad to explore the many cliffs, caves and monuments within the woodlands that were built over 200 years ago. Entry fee is £7 for adults and £4.50 for children, plus any additional costs the activities.

Starting this weekend is the Ludlow Fringe at Castle Square. There's plenty of fun, comedy, drama and excitement packed into the weekend to choose from, and sure to be something for your Pops to enjoy!

For just £20 for a family ticket, you and your Dad can have unlimited travel on the Telford standard gauge service all day, admission into the model railway exhibition and a two course meal at the Furnaces Tearoom. Not only that, your Dad will have the chance to drive one of the railways trams for 20 minutes! No brainer really, but make sure you ring ahead to avoid disappointment.

This one's for the green-fingered Father... For one day only visitors are able to explore round some of the beautiful private gardens of Ludlow! Some are town favourites, and others have never been open to the public before. There will be teas, ice creams, herbs and plants and even a champagne bar hidden away in a courtyard.
